Zhongjia Sun is a photographer, director working between Shanghai and New York. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, her practice moves fluidly between photography and video, with a focus on film and fashion imagery.
Her work centers on women, desire, and intimacy, exploring the ways bodies, identities, and desires are seen, performed, and experienced. Through an intimate and sensuous lens, Sun reimagines the visual languages of art, fashion, and advertising, creating space for desire beyond conventional ways of looking. Her images often juxtapose symbols, textures, and gestures, forming surreal yet intimate compositions that blur the boundaries between fantasy and reality, the commercial and the personal.
Her clients include Prada, Miu Miu, Celine and Vogue, and her work has been exhibited internationally, most recently at Art in Haus Shanghai.
